Doug De Vito says he was the last person someone would expect to engage in a career employing unseen light and information to heal people. After all, he was trained as a chemical engineer successfully working for some of the nation’s leading corporations and the possessor of an MBA in marketing. All very left brained, focused, practical and grounded.

 

But it was the chance to be in the forefront to teach, prove and validate the remarkable work of Reconnective Healing that captivated him and upended his projected career path. As De Vito notes, the work “found him.”

 

A goal-directed high achiever, De Vito graduated from the 3/2 Honors Program at Washington University in St. Louis, where he received both a Chemical Engineering degree and an MBA in five years. For the next 13 years, he worked in marketing and business development for Fortune 100 companies such as Procter & Gamble, AT&T and Walt Disney. During his career, De Vito helped to create, brand and develop new businesses. He also supported many new organizations to take root and grow with a clear focus and mission. All this changed one day when De Vito’s CEO walked into his office and closed his division. Synchronistically, the next day, Doug met Dr. Eric Pearl and was immediately struck by a passion and curiosity to explore Reconnective Healing. As he saw and learned to apply Reconnective Healing, he was astonished at clients’ reports of healing from chronic illness, dis-ease, depression and other physical and emotional ailments. It was not long before he jumped in whole heartedly as both a practitioner and leader in this new emerging field of “information medicine.”

 

De Vito joined The Reconnection in 2002 and brought a plethora of talents. Dr. Pearl recognized in De Vito a gifted and engaging teacher, and soon tapped him to be the first person authorized in his organization to carry the work forward as a seminar instructor. But Dr. Pearl also recognized De Vito’s visionary and business skills, and since joining the teaching team, De Vito has been charged with helping to expand and shape The Reconnection’s mission to bring this new form of healing to millions around the world. He now serves as Director of Planning for The Reconnection, where he provides leadership in the development of an organization that teaches the work globally, creates business development programs for practitioners, and participates in the scientific research that is validating the existence of this new bandwith of energy, light and information which enables the balance and transformation of those receiving Reconnective Healing.
